ABOUT HOSHINOEN

Hoshinoen is one of the most famous matcha factories in Japan. It is a relatively new factory that began producing matcha in earnest in 1989. It produces in Yame, Fukuoka Prefecture, which is famous for its sweet tea called gyokuro.     This is my favorite matcha. Visually, the powder is very fine and of a beautiful green. In terms of taste, it has a sweet, nutty, round and rich flavor. No bitterness but also no strong vegetal notes, so if you prefer that I would look more into an uji matcha
